Snowdonia

Date:

Friday, November 1, 2019 to Sunday, November 3, 2019

Description

To purchase a ticket for this trip, please come along to one of our designated sign-up sessions in the Guild of Students. (See our newsletter) Please be aware the times indicated on Eventbrite are just a rough estimate.

We are crossing the Welsh border and going to Snowdonia!! This wonderful National Park is in North Wales and is the location of Snowdon (1085m), the highest peak in England and Wales. Wales is also home to the best rugby team (fight me).  The Wayfarers will be spending the weekend taking in the mountains and potentially walking (not taking the train because that's cheating apparently)  up Snowdon!

We will be staying in Bryn Brethynau, a climbing hut near Betws-y-Coed, which is only a 5-minute walk from a pub!

 See you there!

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (that you don't mind getting muddy)
  • Lightweight trousers (definitely not jeans!)
  • Jumper and/or other layers
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Packed lunch and water for both days of walking
  • Cash for emergencies
  • Rucksack to carry it all in
  • Extra clothes for both days of walking
  • Sleeping bag
  • Wash kit, etc.
