The Wayfarers are going to one of the classic hiking spots in the UK, the Peak District!!! Join us for a weekend of hiking and fun in our nearest National Park with a unique landscape of high plateaus which offer fantastic views.

The Peak District is located in central England and covers an area of 555 square miles. The south of the park (White Peak) is characterized by steep limestone valleys. The north (Dark Peak) has granite ridges and moorland plateaus, such as Kinder Scout. Kinder Scout is also the location of the famous mass trespass walk:  In 1932, to campaign for the right to access open countryside, around 500 walkers trespassed en masse and walked from Hayfield to Kinder Scout. They were successful and the Peak District became our first National Park in 1951.

 See you there!
