The Cotswolds

Saturday, February 16, 2019

To purchase a ticket for this trip, please come along to one of our designated sign-up sessions in the Guild of Students. (See our newsletter) Please be aware the times indicated on Eventbrite are just a rough estimate.

The Wayfarers are going to the Cotswolds!!! This might be a first... We'll be going on a minibus, so places will be limited so be sure to come along to a sign-up session.

The Cotswolds are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to the south of Birmingham that covers almost 800 square miles and goes through five counties. There are nearly 3000 miles of footpaths through the characteristic rolling hills, the 'wolds'. However, most importantly, they are home to our esteemed secretary,  Mr. Joseph McGrory. Despite this important fact though, we will actually be doing some walking through one of the UK's most beautiful areas.

 See you there!

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (that you don't mind getting muddy)
  • Lightweight trousers (definitely not jeans!)
  • Jumper and/or other layers
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Packed lunch and water
  • Cash for emergencies
  •  A rucksack to carry it all in
