Yorkshire Dales

Date:

Friday, May 24, 2019 to Monday, May 27, 2019

Description

To purchase a ticket for this trip, please come along to one of our designated sign-up sessions in the Guild of Students. (See our newsletter) Please be aware the times indicated on Eventbrite are just a rough estimate.

Prepare yourselves as the first weekend trip of the term is coming your way! We are taking advantage of the bank holiday and going up t'Yorkshire for the weekend!

The Yorkshire Dales is a fantastic national park in the north of England with castles, abbeys and (of course) hills. It is also the location of Malham Cove, which for Harry Potter fans, will be instantly recognisable. Yorkshire really does have it all!

We'll be staying at Bullpot Farm which was once sketched by Wainwright himself, and is a Wayfarers favourite as everyone tends to get very comfortable with each other in this bunkhouse.
However, even better than this, the bunkhouse now has free wifi!!!

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (that you don't mind getting muddy)
  • Lightweight trousers (definitely not jeans!)
  • Jumper and/or other layers
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Packed lunch and water for both days of walking
  • Cash for emergencies
  • A rucksack to carry it all in
  • Extra clothes for both days of walking
  • Sleeping bag
  • Wash kit, etc
