Clent Hills

Saturday, February 4, 2017

To register for this trip, make sure that you are a member of the Wayfarers, and then sign up on Eventbrite!

The Clent Hills are an incredibly popular hill-walking destination for the people of Birmingham, as they lie only 16 km south of Birmingham!

At the summit of the hills lies The Four Stones, a site that may seem medieval but which were actually placed in the 1760s by Lord Lyttleton of Hagley Hall, as "something to see from his mansion".

We hope to see you soon on this pleasant day walk.

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (that you don't mind getting muddy)
  • Lightweight trousers (definitely not jeans!)
  • Jumper and/or other layers
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Packed lunch and water
  • Cash for emergencies
  • Rucksack to carry it all in
