Dark Peak

Friday, December 1, 2017 to Sunday, December 3, 2017

To purchase a ticket for this trip, please come along to one of our designated sign-up sessions in the Guild of Students. (See our newsletter)

The Dark Peak is the northern, rugged area of the Peak District; named for its dark, drystone walls.

Prepare yourself for purple heather, burnt orange bracken and sheer, wintry cliffs...

This will be our final trip of the term, so we hope you'll join us!

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (that you don't mind getting muddy)
  • Lightweight trousers (definitely not jeans!)
  • Jumper and/or other layers
  • Waterproof coat and trousers
  • Packed lunch and water for both days of walking
  • Cash for emergencies
  • Rucksack to carry it all in
  • Extra clothes for both days of walking
  • Sleeping bag and roll mat
  • Wash kit, etc.
